PHILOSOPHY

Through removing the perceived and physical separation between human and nature, or even human and human, architecture should raise environmental empathy and awareness, aim to unroot individuals from their harmful habits, and to restore lost social-ecological values in contemporary society. In a society where individuals are increasingly alienated, daily urban life will encompass greater human-to-human and human-to-nature interactions. Thus, encouraging individual behaviours to change from within, and in time, communities and regions to change from within. It takes the collective effort to redefine a new way of living, and architecture is a method to drive individuals to further inspire ecological values within others.
